National Online Survey of Children's Well-being During the COVID-19 Pandemic in Japan - Interim Report, Part 3
739 children and 3,762 parents participated in the online survey from September 1 to 22.
The highlight of this report:
- Bedtime compared to pre-corona (responses by children and guardians):
17% of young kids (grade 3 or younger), and 36% of teenagers (grade 4 or older) go to bed later or more irregularly compared to before (pre-corona). - Screen time (responses by guardians):
11% of primary school students and 29% of middle and high school students watch TV, phones, or games for more than 4 hours per day. - "Do you want to go to school?" (responses by children):
One in three students do not want to go to school.
