Step3 Guide for Certificate of Permission of Advanced Clinical Training for Foreign Medical Practitioners (CACT)
Summary
- On your behalf we will apply for a certificate of permission of advanced clinical training (CACT), to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare in Japan.
- This is a kind of temporary doctor's license in Japan.
- The revenue stamp fee will be charged (15,300JPY).
- We will give it to you when you come to our hospital. You need to return this after you finish your training in Japan.
Outline
- You have to pay the premium based on the insurance type and training period for CACT.
- Please choose which type you would like to take. For more information on the amount and details, please see 'Medical Malpractice Liability Insurance for doctors' as attached on the email.
(Most trainees choose Type A-1 or B-1.) - I will apply this on behalf of you in advance. Please write your signature on the original application form when you come to my office in Japan.

- Please follow the example properly.
- If you do handwriting please scan properly.
- You can use an electronic signature if you have it.
- As to Japanese translation please prepare by yourself. Some people use Google translation or ask the office which is in charge.
