高度先進医療研究室

研究室紹介

胎児・小児期ウイルス感染症および川崎病の克服を目指して先端的研究を行うとともに、その成果を診断と治療に応用しています。様々な血液疾患の原因となるEBウイルス(EBV)を主な研究対象とし、EBVおよび川崎病の疾患モデルの作成を通じて新しい治療法の開発に貢献しています。

体制

  1. EBV関連難治性疾患である慢性活動性EBV感染症(CAEBV)やEBV関連血球貪食リンパ組織球症(EBV-HLH)などの病態発現解析を進め、成育医療関連ウイルス感染症診断法の開発研究を進めています。
  2. 年々増加傾向にある川崎病発症メカニズムの開発を進めています。

研究内容

  1. EBウイルス関連疾患モデルマウスの作製と応用
    EBウイルスは成育医療の分野において移植後リンパ腫やCAEBVなど多くの難治性疾患の原因になります。マウス細胞の一部をヒト細胞で置換したヒト化マウスを応用し、新しいEBV感染モデルマウスを作成し、移植後のリンパ腫などの病態再現に成功しました。このマウスを使って新治療薬の有効性や作用機序を解明する研究と病態発現メカニズムの解明研究を行っています。
  2. 小児ウイルス感染症の診断支援
    一部の感染症の診断には専門的な技術と経験が必要とされます。病院・高度感染症診断部と連携し、当研究部ではセンター内外から送られてくるサンプルから様々なウイルスを検出し、診断支援と検出されたウイルスの量と性状に基づき、治療方針決定に関する支援を行っています。特にCAEBVについては、国内の中央診断センター的役割を果たしています。
  3. 高度先進医療技術の開発
    難治性ウイルス感染症に対する新規治療薬・新規診断法・新規治療法の開発を進めています。
  4. 川崎病発症メカニズムの解明研究とバイオマーカーの探索
    川崎病疾患モデルマウスの作成を通し病態発現解析を行うと共に、川崎病の治療評価もバイオマーカー探索を進めています。
